About Us
We have been serving the neighborhood since 1965 when the business was founded. We started as a Shell station called El Portal Shell in San Pablo where the International Marketplace is today. The company was incorporated in 1972 becoming Wellsco Inc. doing business as El Portal Shell Towing and Repair. In 1999 the name changed to Petro Plus Certified Towing. When the founder retired in 2006, one of his sons, took over the business, changed the name to Certified Towing. Today, the same Son owns and runs the business, but another son is also helping with the business. It has always been family owned and fun, and it always will.
Meet the Owner
Darrell W Started running the Towing side of the business about 15 years ago when El Portal Shell was still established and was on San Pablo Ave in San Pablo. After his Father and founder of the bussines retired, Darrell took over the business and is still the owner to this day.
